Everyone’s been playing the hypebeast role in blowing up Gorillaz (you know, those guys with weird animation that did Feel Good Inc.) and their new album Plastic Beach, their first since 2005. Gorillaz has a very loyal following, and I can respect that but after listening to their fresh-out-of-the-oven single off of Plastic Beach “Stylo” featuring Damon Albarn, Bobby Womack, and Mos Def I don’t know I can count myself among them.
Thought I’d kick everyone’s Wednesday off right with a nice relaxing jam. This new one by The Silent League, with a reallly nice touch by the remix masters Memory Tapes. This one is real feel good music and although I like the original, Memory Tapes touch is just right for this group. Apparently they’ve got a new album coming out entitled “But You’ve Always Been The Caretaker” that I’m eagerly awaiting review.
In the interim, enjoy their new single “Yours Truly, 2095″
